HC (or Hors Concours) is the term used for a non-competitive entry.
It literally means without rival - and may be used if you wish to keep your score private and not be eligible for placings or prize money.
It may be used in affiliated competitions but ONLY if both horse and riders are members of the respective associations.
It may be used in unaffiliated competitions if, for instance, your horse has too many points to be able to compete in the competition.
